The Department of Justice provides online tools for deceased estate registration and status information.
The Deceased Estates Online Registration System is accessed through the Department of Justice online services platform. The Department’s 2026/27 Annual Performance Plan records that the system has been in use by all 16 Master’s Offices since 14 December 2023. Because functionality is updated from time to time, users should access it through the current official Department of Justice or Master of the High Court online services page.
The Master’s Integrated Case Management System (ICMS) Web Portal also provides public information held by Master’s Offices from 2008 onward and includes a deceased estate search function. The information available can include the Master’s Office, estate reference and case information recorded on the system.
Online information does not necessarily show every administrative detail. Where more information is required, the executor or the relevant Master’s Office should be contacted using the estate reference number.
